28th March: Cherry Blossoms!
莉子 Lizi, 龚雨薇 Gong Yuwei, Nina and I went to a park to see cherry blossoms, which we got to see but there were so many people D: But it was really nice to see so many cherry trees and I also got to see Baymax ❤
After taking enough photos of cherry blossoms we went onto a paddle boat and just relaxed.
The sign says “Deep Water – Dangerous, Keep Off” but as you can see.. there’s no water.

And.. a secondhand book store… It looks super creepy because you enter it through a window as you can see… But the stuff there is cheap!

27th March: Happy Birthday to Me~
Because I just arrived yesterday, I decided not to do anything during the day and went to 外婆家 Grandma’s Home in 王府井 Wang Fu Jing in the evening and had dinner there.
The chocolate plate on the cake says: “老静雯,生日快乐,可口可乐 Old Yvonne, happy birthday, coca cola” they wrote it on there just because I can’t drink coke xD
I’m really thankful that I got to meet all these amazing people here, who made my stay in China a lot more awesome!

We had lots of food and I learned that I really like honey toast with ice cream ❤

26th March: Goodbye~
For lunch Shuk Ting and I met my aunts Leonie and Cat and we had 点心 Dim Sum together ❤ Honestly, I was a bit worried that it would be awkward because we haven’t seen each other for around 5 years. On top of that, I’m not really good at talking with relatives, no idea why… But they are so cool and awesome 😀 I really like them ^_^
Shuk Ting took me to the airport for my flight and we bid farewell. We could have stayed together a bit longer, if I had known that my flight was delayed =_= At least they told me I could eat for 70 HKD at the airport but I’ve forgotten how expensive airport stuff is @_@ Plain Rice costs 22HKD (ca. 2,50€)?! Are they kidding me? I just bought some noodles and wantan. The people sitting next to me apparently didn’t really looked at the price and just ordered some fried chicken, rice and a coke because how expensive can these be, hm? In the end they had to pay around 30 USD…
And around 1AM I finally got back to my dorm in 北京 Beijing.

25th March: 南丫島 Lamma Island – The Bad
We had fun for like half an hour while walking around but we kind of forgot that if you’re near nature, especially with so much green, insects aren’t too far from you… and I have a phobia and Shuk Ting is apparently also quite afraid of insects. As soon as we saw butterflies flying in our directions we were holding on to each other as if our lives were depending on it and I know people are probably like “Butterflies? Seriously? They’re cute!” They are. When they’re far away from me. I know that they won’t harm me but I just find them… scary. Don’t judge!
It took us 4-5 hours to get back to the starting point and Shuk Ting even thought that we got lost and would die there but it’s a small island, so I didn’t worry too much about that and just kept walking. Thankfully, a German couple could comfort her by saying that at that point we only needed another 40 minutes.
That was “The Bad” and I had enough nature for the next few weeks…
While waiting for our ferry we bought some oddly flavored chips (okonomiyaki flavor and seaweed flavor) and mango ice cream. I was so happy to be back in Hong Kong and finally being able to have dinner, something like lasagna but with rice (no idea what that’s called) 😀
After another hour we were whimpering and screaming because of every little insect and regretting our choice. We wanted to take a photo of an interesting plant but suddenly a gigantic wasp came flying out of it, so we ran for our life

25th March: 南丫島 Lamma Island – The Good
For our afternoon program Shuk Ting and I decided to go to 南丫島 Lamma Island. I was thrilled because I’ve been in 北京 Beijing for so long and it’s been a while since I’ve seen some nature. We took a ferry and arrived after like half an hour? In the beginning it was really nice to see so much green and just to get away from the big city.
So much for “The Good”, the next post will be about “The Bad”…
