23rd November: Epik High Concert – Parade 2014

The concert was incredible. The atmosphere was awesome, there weren’t too many people (read somewhere that around 1000 people attended the concert) and it was basically like a big party 

As soon as DJ Tukuz came up there was this crazy light show which got us fans all excited and when they opened with ’Up’ we knew that it was going to be a good night.

After ‘Up’ Epik High introduced themselves while doing some funny movements to those stereotypical Chinese Kung Fu music, DJ Tukuz was just “dancing” along, Mithra Jin was standing with his arms wide open, enjoying the cheers and when Tablo started to spell his name the fans screamed the letters with him, and  as soon as they finished the introduction part they immediately started with ’Bruj Kalifa’.

Honestly, after that everything was like a dream and I don’t remember the order of the songs they sang but I leave you a list: ’Fan’, ’Love Love Love’, ’Happen Ending’, ’Eyes Nose Lips’ (omg that was sooo good), ’Spoiler’, ’New Beautiful’, ’High Technology’, ’Kill This Love’, ’Day of Peace’.

What I do remember though is that Tablo said that a fan told him that she and her boyfriend just broke up. So he asked the crowd if there were people who were feeling lonely and dedicated the next song ’One’ to the lonely people.

Oh, and we will al remember them singing ’With You’ and making us sing Bibi Zhou’s part. I was so glad that the lyrics were shown on a screen, although they were a tad bit late.

After half of the show the staff started to build a catwalk through the middle of the room and when Epik High ran down that catwalk all the fans were going crazy and tried to touch them. Tablo even took one of this ’Selfie-Sticks’ and just filmed himself and Mithra Jin! Lucky fan… But I managed to high five Tablo and DJ Tukuz  But Mithra Jin just kept teasing the fans and his hand was way up high and only one guy managed to reach his hand by jumping really high… And I didn’t take any photos when they were basically right in front of me because I was busy fangirling ^^;

I was so glad, when Tablo decided to throw some water into the crowd because it was seriously getting hot and DJ Tukuzfollowed his actions, while Mithra Jin just cooled himself down by pouring a whole bottle over his head.

The fans also sang ’Happy Birthday’ to DJ Tukuz in Korean and English and I think I heard some Chinese, too, not quite sure though.

When the finished the concert all the fans started chanting ’Encore! Encore!’, followed by loud cheering when they came back again to perform ’Born Hater’. Tablo tried to censor ’motherfucking’ by just saying ‘mother-’ but everyone screamed ‘fucking’ and DJ Tukutz criticized us by saying ’That’s no no’ making us all laugh.

Epik High performed ’Don’t Hate Me’ for the last song and thanked us for the great experience and the fans couldn’t be happier.
