Afterwards we went to a place, where fish would eat your dead skin. Your feet feel incredibly soft afterwards but I’m not so sure what I should think about having those fish living in those small “aquariums” and although the water does get cold (obviously) I don’t think that warm water should be added…
Around 11 pm we started to look for a hostel. I have no idea why we didn’t book one. Seriously, we walked around for about an hour and asked so many hotels and hostels but they were either all booked or were too expensive. Then, we saw a small poster on the wall saying “Renting rooms [telephone number]”. The woman standing next to that poster was selling stuff and noticed that we were reading that poster and asked us whether we were interested. We asked for the price and she said: “100 RMB” (around 7€), we agreed and called the owner for us.
But seriously that was probably the most dangerous thing I’ve done in China… It was not anything official. She was just renting a private room and we were sharing a bathroom with people who actually lived there and that room was really small, which wasn’t a problem but I made up so many scenarios in my head… I kept thinking of things like, what if she’s going to sell us as sex slaves, drug us and take our organs, simply kills us and so on… I don’t know it didn’t give me this feeling of security… At least I had wifi. And nothing happened.
