20th February: China’s Countryside + 21st February: Exploring the area

After a bus drive Nina and I arrived in a small village 天等 Tiandeng, where another friend of Nina 许苏 Xu Su picked us up, took us to another bus station, where we went to a village. Seriously, just look at these pictures! So much nature and a clear sky!  

The air was so good, and for those who didn’t know: I’ve been “sick” since I arrived in Beijing. I’ve been sniffling nonstop because of all the fine dust floating around in the air in Beijing and on top of that I have asthma, so I guess I’m more sensitive? And every time I get out of the capital all that sniffling stops. So a time-out from Beijing in a rural area did me good. 

I also ate sugar cane for the first time! It was so difficult to peel the “skin” with your teeth. If you don’t have good teeth don’t try that. I spent 15 minutes on a 20 cm sugar cane and Nina half an hour xD

Her friend also took us climbing, which I honestly wasn’t a big fan of because it meant lots of insects… But it was nonetheless fun  

Nina and I didn’t really do anything exciting, we just walked around a lot and saw lots of animals. Cows, ducks, a rooster andso on. We also climbed again but Nina and I stopped halfway because 许苏 Xu Su and her cousin told us that it was toodangerous. But they found honey up there?
